"The Star Master"
(A Meditation on Psalm 147:4)
"He counts the number of the stars;
He calls them all by name."
How can I doubt His love for me,
His loved, though wayward, lamb?
His eye is on the little birds,
His love enfolds e'en me.
Respond, my soul, with heartfelt love
To Christ Who set you free.
Though troubles come and doubts arise,
Of one thing I am sure:
Jesus loves me and this I know
His love all ills will cure.
My failures and the cares of life
Often overwhelm me
But when I keep my eyes on Him,
Love and grace sustain me.
